President Donald Trump is classified differently by different people. Some believe his behavior is sensible and logical, while others believe it is merely attention-seeking. Regardless of these differing viewpoints, one thing everyone can agree on is that he is a leader with an "extreme" personality.
Trump was born in Queens, New York, to a real estate developer and a housewife, and went to the Kew-Forest School from kindergarten through eighth grade before enrolling in the New York Military Academy, a private boarding school, at the age of thirteen. In terms of higher education, the leader enrolled at Fordham University. After two years, he proceeded to the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he earned a B.S. in economics in May 1968. His graduation, like many other aspects of his life, has been fraught with controversy. As biographies of Trump published in The New York Times in 1973 and 1976 incorrectly said that he graduated "first in his class" at Wharton, this caused a big uproar since he afterward made certain that his academic records were never revealed to anybody without his consent.
He was armed with the methods and tools while New York City was on the verge of bankruptcy in the early 1970s, thanks to his professional experience and inherited eye for distressed real-estate treasures. In the 1980s, the leader struck his largest transaction, rescuing the once-grand Commodore Hotel from bankruptcy and transforming it into the Grand Hyatt, a well-known hotel brand today.
When he was already a wealthy real estate magnate, the successful businessman took on the job of restoring the Wollman Rink skating rink in New York's Central Park. Well, the leader did not hold back in publicly criticizing the ineptitude of the government institutions in charge of the restoration, which sparked several debates. As a result of the debate, the leader promised to do the refurbishment himself, for free, and he did it ahead of time and at a cost well below the city's budget.
The 1990s were a trying time in the real estate mogul's life, as his economic empire disintegrated after casinos proved to be a disastrous idea, resulting in bankruptcy. The leader established the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlanta and entered the gambling industry. He was soon drowning in debt until his creditors decided to acquire half ownership of the casino in exchange for him selling his airline, Trump Shuttle, and his 282-foot Trump Princess yacht.
The leader was ultimately able to reestablish his reputation. When their father died in 1999, Donald Trump inherited a fortune, but he continued to acquire and build Manhattan real estate. As he entered each of these enterprises, Trump's name appeared on Trump Buffet, Trump Catering, Trump Ice Cream Parlor, and the Trump Bar. His fortunes began to improve by the mid-1990s, and he returned to the Forbes 400 list in 1996 after a six-year hiatus. Millions of fans tuned in 2004 when he began his leading role on The Apprentice, where he was shown dismissing ambitious CEOs and became a household figure in the United States.
