His father was the owner of the boat and his mother was the housewife. Kalam had four brothers and a sister, of which he was the youngest. His ancestors were big traders and landowners who had a lot of lands. But by 1920, his family had lost all their land and were struggling with poverty till the birth of Kalam.
He is the President and politician of India, whom the world can never forget because his contribution is very incomparable. Apart from this, he also contributed a lot to ISRO( Indian Space Research Organisation). Dr. A.P.J. CAREER AS SCIENTIST
When he was born, his family's financial situation was not good. From an early age, he started supporting Financially to his family. He continued his studies along with supporting his family Financially.
He used to spend many hours on studies, especially in the practice of maths. He was Completing his schooling at Schwartz Higher Secondary School. After that, he graduated in physics in 1954 from the University of Madras.

In 1969, Kalam worked at ISRO as Project Director of India's first satellite launch vehicle which was successfully deployed. From July 1992 to December 1999, Kalam served as the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister and Secretary of the defense research and development organization.
President of India
From July 25, 2002, to July 25, 2007, Abdul Kalam served as the 11th President of India. At the time of his presidency, India earned a lot of names in the whole country.
He served the country with all his heart that’s why he was called ‘people’s president. In 2007, he aspired to become president again. But after two days, it was heard that he does not want to contest the election for the second time because he does not want Rashtrapati Bhavan to come in the middle of any political process.
After Presidency Period
After leaving the Presidency Office, he started teaching children, which was his old passion. At the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Kalam became a visiting professor and the Indian Institute of Management Indore; an honorary fellow of the Indian Institute of Science.

In 2010, United Nation declared World Student's Day on October 15 on the birth anniversary of former President A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
His Last Days
One day when he was lecturing the students in Shillong on July 27, 2015, he suddenly had a cardiac arrest and fell down. His death caused a huge loss to the country. He believed that youth is the most settled asset of the country.
