About Aristotle
Aristotle was born on 384 B.C. in Stagira, which is a small town on the northern coast of Greece that was once a seaport. Aristotle was an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist who is still considered one of the best and greatest thinkers in psychology, politics, and ethics.
Family and Education
Very few information is known about his mother Phaestis she is also believed to have died when Aristotle was young. Nicomachus, his father died when Aristotle was a child. After that, his elder sister Arimneste get married by proxenus of Atarneus and became his guardian until he came of age
At the point when he turned 17, he enrolled in Plato’s Academy. He was the founder of the Lyceum and the Peripatetic school of philosophy and Aristotelian convention. Along with his teacher Plato, he was also been known as the "Father of Western Philosophy".
In 335, Aristotle established his own school, the Lyceum, in Athens, where he spent most of the rest of his life studying, teaching and writing. In 338, he began mentoring Alexander the Great.
Aristotle works
Aristotle's work on theory impacted thoughts from late vestige entirely through the Renaissance. His student Theophrastus supposedly cared for Aristotle’s works and later passed them to his own student Neleus, who stored them in a vault to protect them from moisture until they were taken to Rome and used by scholars there. Aristotle’s estimated wrote 200 books, from which only 31 are still in circulation. Most date to Aristotle’s time at the Lyceum.
In spite of the fact that Aristotle was not actually a researcher by the present definitions, science was among the subjects that he looked into finally during his time at the Lyceum. Aristotle accepted that information could be acquired through cooperating with physical objects.
Wife and Children
During his three-year remain in Mysia, Aristotle met and wedded his first wife, Pythias, King Hermias' niece. Together, the couple had a little girl, Pythias, named after her mom. In 335 B.C., the same year that Aristotle opened the Lyceum, his wife Pythias died.
Later according to some historians he married a woman named Herpyllis. Regardless, it is known that Herpyllis gave birth to Aristotle's children, including one son named Nicomachus, after Aristotle’s father.
Death
In 322 B.C., just a year after he fled to Chalcis to escape prosecution under charges of irreverence, Aristotle contracted a disease of the digestive organs and died. Later In the century following Aristotle’s death, his works fell out of use, but they were revived during the first century. After some time, they came to establish the framework of over seven centuries of theory.
